The central processing units (CPUs) are the heart of the SIMATIC S7-1500. They execute the user program and network the controller with other automation components.
Three CPUs are available in the first delivery stage:
• CPU-1511-1 PN for small to medium-sized applications
• CPU-1513-1 PN for medium to large applications
• CPU-1516-3 PN/DP for exceptionally demanding requirements and additional communication tasks.
